DJ Hero

Dj Hero is game that is a part of the Guitar Hero Phenomenon, and if you still don’t know what that is get up form the rock you live under  and Google it.

As the name suggest DJ Hero is for all you wannabe DJ’s out there. It was first released in late 2009. Some of the DJs that helped develop the game include DJ Shadow, Z-Trip, DJ AM, Cut Chemist, J.Period, Grandmaster Flash, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Hashim, and Daft Punk. It went on to be one of the best selling new games of that season.

In October 2010 DJ Hero 2 was released and this time round they added vocal elements from artist such as JayZ, Eminem, Daft Punk, Chamillionaire, Dr. Dre, Chemical Brothers, Kanye West, Metallica, Lady Gaa, and Rihanna, while Deadmau5, DJ Qbert, David Guetta and Tiësto are playable avatars in the game.

Some of the positives of the game are that;

• Diverse, entertaining tracklist.
• Well-crafted turntable peripheral.
• Difficulty levels range from very welcoming to very challenging.
• Captures the thrill of creating a hot mix.

Naturally some of the Negatives are that;

• Costs as much as two full-price games
• Crossfader tab can be tricky
• Doesn’t embrace creativity of actual mixing.

Sneakers and such…

The fashion industry keeps on changing every other day, and at the same time recurring over a certain given time. Skinny jeans were the thing in the hiphop world last year. And for the most part of the previous year  reggae kids had the trend going, evidently on reggae  events and jam sessions in different spots around major cities, especially Nairobi. The trend has actually been on a rotation over the few decades.

Another trend that has significantly been in existence has been the sneaker culture , from the US “Air Jordans”  to the Japans “Onitsuka Tiger”. Every other day we cant help but  want to wear them mainly due to their comfort, fashion appeal, status or just making a statement.  Looking  at some expensive taste, its evident that celebrities take the cake, from Jordan himself who seems not to be at par with the trends, he is more of an enterprenuer than a sneaker head. Catholic university is the raddest institution we all want to be in. Ask one of them nuns they seen it all.

Whoever invented playstation is a genius in themselves, actually the first release dates way back to 1994 in Japan.Fast forward…….Mr Cee is a gamer himself and can beat you any day.

Ammi too, i believe the game was intense. She is the person behind all the crazy n creative  ideas from blackstar events u hear n see. I like the kids expression.

After all the rounds back to blue times for detention thursday. This event was different like no other,the dress code theme was based around school uniform. And true to the occasion people dusted off those school uniforms from their boxes. Its fortunate no one really came in with their actual school uniform, am sure some kid somewhere had that idea  in mind, I would.

If blackstar was a high school this is how it would look like. In relegating duties as the students we would sit down and most obviously choose French as the headboy, since he,d bust al that dont adhere to the schools rules, and then bust on as too, he would then be demoted and  we would then mob on him and woop him like nobodys business.

Blackstar is a certified converse zone if a rep is reading<hint, Mobi swears he has like a pyramid of them.

Detention Thursday.

For those that might be interested . This poster is inspired by the campus/college  lifestyle most of you are used to, yellow is an exciting color which interprets the stage in life most  of as are in. Red is a color that represents danger, it shows the suicidal n crazy  things that most of us do, i believe  that’s a clear description of swagger. Vans are the new timberland’s, flats are the new boots. And that’s just my interpretation.
